Jr. High Devo

Oh, the joys of Junior High...
We hosted the jr. high devo at our house this past Sunday evening. It was such a blast to have all the kids (72 to be exact, not counting any adults) at our house. They sang around our pool as our neighbor poked his head over the fence to see what was going on. Our little kids loved it too! Maddox stood at the door with Purell hand sanitizer, expecting each jr. higher to take a squirt apon entering our home (thanks to preschool procedures!)
As I sat and watched all the kids laughing, singing and eating I was reminded that we have a LOT to be thankful for!

Summer Sum-Up

Well now that summer is really over (a full month ago!) I wanted to post a few pictures of our summertime fun!

Planet Pizza
(it was actually Trey's bday party but boy did we have a blast!!)

We are becoming a rodeo family! If there is one way it pays to have Mr. Mesquite as your daddy it is the rodeo!! The kids love it! We love it b/c the chamber hooks us up with an awesome suite and with a buffet dinner! Yee Haw!
Its offically began.......wrapping!

Let's bowl, lets bowl, lets rock n roll! My kids are finally old enough for outings like bowling! This was just a random, what are we going to do today summer day! me and kids at the good ole bowling alley.
Swimming- our favorite activity!! Everynight when daddy gets home we would take a dip in the pool! Maddox is a swimming machine! Yeah, for safe swimmers!

McKenzie and Natalie in their cute matching suits!!

The end of my summer was spend with this little lady....Lia Kate! My dear friend, Lisa had sweet Lia at the end of July. Lia then had open heart surgery 5 days later! You can read more about her on her blog (on my blogroll). She is home now and doing great before her second surgery in another month or so.

Last but not least....

Little Brother started preschool!!
Maddox has been asking for weeks when HIS school was starting! We go to school together at our church! I LOVE that I get to see him throughout the day with a "bubble in his mouth", playing with his friends, and loving life at preschool.

Here is Maddox with his teacher "Ms. Jennifer". He loves his teacher but more I think he loves Ms. Jennifer's 4 year old son Carson. Maddox wanted Carson to be in his class with him.
